The Sussex House project encompasses the major refurbishment for occupation of a 120,000sq.ft building for American Express to a LEED New Construction 2009 Gold standard. Sentinel is providing both LEED AP and Assessor roles supporting the whole project team to ensure that the client’s aspirational LEED Gold certification is achieved.

This included undertaking an initial pre-assessment and Gap analysis exercise at Stage B to ensure that the design solution was capable of achieving LEED Gold (NC 2009) at Stage C. We also delivered an energy modelling exercise to ASHRAE / LEED standards to ensure that the engineering solutions exceed the LEED requirements. The above required close liaison with the project cost consultants to ensure that LEED requirement did not compromise strict budget limits.

Sentinel also advised on technologies that could be incorporated into the scheme to improve building and operational performance without compromising budget whilst also delivering valuable LEED innovation credits
