Our LEED Accredited Professionals (APs), certified by the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI), are qualified to assist design teams in improving building environmental performance and on undertaking the process of a LEED Certification Assessment. During the whole design and construction process they consult the design team and client to establish project-specific environmental performance goals and design strategies and provide valuable guidance on addressing the requirements of individual LEED credits.
LEED is the US Green Building Council’s ‘Green Building Rating System’. It provides an internationally recognised benchmark for the design, construction and operation of green buildings. LEED© is currently being used to certify buildings in over 91 countries and is becoming a global standard for multinational companies. Buildings are scored against a discretionary credit system and awarded Certified, Silver, Gold or Platinum certification.
LEED promotes a whole-building approach to sustainability by recognizing performance in five key areas of human and environmental health: Sustainable Site, Water Efficiency, Energy and Atmosphere, Materials and Resources and Indoor Environmental Quality. Extra innovative performance strategies concerning the design and operation of a building can be addressed additionally under the category Innovation in Design. The implementation of a LEED Certification also gives building owners and operators the tools they need to have an immediate and measurable impact on their buildings’ performance and its occupant’s well-being.
